Scenic Train Ride For Father's Day

We recently took a ride on the Cape Cod Central Railroad, taking advantage of a "Dads Ride Free" special on Fathers Day.

We departed from Hyannis Station.

All aboard! My son stands in line to get on the train.

The train soon headed out of the yard, passing old train cars and locomotives.

The trip took us through the towns of Barnstable, Sandwich, and Bourne. We passed salt marshes.

And cranberry bogs.

Until finally we rode alongside the Cape Cod Canal and under the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges.

This was a great treat for Fathers Day, and a wonderful way to see the scenery from a different point of view than you get on the roads.
